Customs House Broker

• Oversee the shipments with proper documentation
• Vet the customs forms and entries before submission to government and authorities
• Inform customers about the government regulations or restrictions
• Negotiate with authorities to resolve customs issues
• Facilitate a smooth transition of goods through customs clearance
• Assist the team to obtain permits and other documentation required by foreign governments
• Collaborate with customs officials to ensure compliance with customs regulations
• Communicate with shipping agents to ensure that all shipment requirements are met
• Liaise and communicate with all stakeholders for clearance and delivery of good
• Prepare daily planning for customs clearance and customs activities
• Seek new customers to expand the customer database
• Provide guidance and training to the team
• Handle customer queries and complaints tactfully
• Submit monthly reports and other required reports as requested
• Perform these and other cognate duties

• Customs Broker Certification
• Diploma in Freight & Logistics/Supply Chain or similar field would be an advantage
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in customs brokerage
• Excellent knowledge of customs clearance procedures, documentation & regulations
• Proficient in MS Office tools and other related software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of organizational and time management ability
• Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
